To use the Pick-e-Bike e-scooters, you must have at least an A1-45 driving license. We make it possible for you now! Simply register for the A1 basic motorcycle course.

Course 1: 06.05.2026-08.05.2026
Course 2: 03.06.2026-05.06.2026
Course 3: 02.09.2026-04.09.2026
Course 4: 14.10.2026-16.10.2026
Time: Daily from 17:15 to 21:15
Location: Pick-e-Bike workshop, Grenzweg 1, 4104 Oberwil (right next to the Oberwil Hüslimatt streetcar stop)
What can you expect?
- An intensive basic course to obtain the A1 driving license category.
- You will be provided with an e-scooter including insurance and helmet.
- The course is run by a renowned and certified instructor.
Prerequisites:
- Valid learner's license including eye test at the optician. You can find the application form below under Downloads.
- Participation in all three course days is mandatory.
- If you cancel at short notice (up to 24 hours before the first day of the course) or drop out of the course, there is no entitlement to a refund of the course costs.
- Minimum number of 5 participants; if there are fewer registrations, the course will be canceled and the costs refunded.
Clothing recommendation:
- Motorcycle boots or high shoes with ankle protection.
- Motorcycle gloves or abrasion- and tear-resistant gloves.
- Motorcycle trousers or robust, long trousers made of abrasion- and tear-resistant material (no fabric or trainer pants).
- Motorcycle jacket or robust, long jacket made of abrasion- and tear-resistant material.

The MAZ motorcycle driving school in the Basel region prepares you for your motorcycle test and offers basic courses and driving training. Not only beginners learn at the MAZ driving school, but also advanced riders who want to deepen their knowledge!
The MAZ team, consisting of experienced driving instructors, will teach you how to handle your motorcycle responsibly, safely and professionally.
