01 PROBLEMS
The important thing is that you’re OK. Don’t worry about the bike – we’ll take care of it. The best thing you can do is call us immediately on 0848 02 03 04. Think about whether you need to call the police (117) or for emergency medical care (144).

If a locked e-bike moves or is pushed for an extended period of time, the theft mode will be activated.
Theft mode works as follows:
- The motor locks so riding the bike is almost impossible.
- The position of the stolen bike is recorded via an existing mobile network connection.
- The lights flash.

The easiest thing to do is to go back to the bike and book it again to open the top case.

You’ll find our bikes in the Pick-e-Bike zone, which extends across the greater Basel area.
Registration is free of charge. You pay for the rental by the minute:
E-Bike
CHF 0.35 per minute
CHF 0.35 per minute
E-Scooter
CHF 0.55 per minute
CHF 0.55 per minute
If you pause your vehicle (bike and scooter), you pay CHF 0.20 per minute.
03 REGISTERING
Simply download the Pick-e-Bike app from the App Store or Google Play Store, provide your details (driving licence, ID and credit card) and have them validated.
You are covered by liability and fully comprehensive insurance with us. In the event of damage, you pay a maximum of CHF 300, provided the damage was not caused intentionally or by gross negligence. You can find more information under RENTAL AGREEMENT FOR E-VEHICLES.
You can only use Pick-e-Bike via the app, which you can download from the App Store or Google Play Store.
E-bikes
For an e-bike you need at least a category M driving licence (from 14 years of age). The “regular” car driving licence (category B) fulfils this requirement.
E-scooters
For an e-scooter you need at least a category A1 driving licence (from 16 years of age). The “regular” car driving licence (category B) also fulfils this requirement once you have attended an additional course.

04 EXPERIENCE
All you need is the Pick-e-Bike app (iOS or Android).
1. Open the Pick-e-Bike app
2. Reserve a bike in your area
3. Start the rental
4. Put your helmet on (in the bike’s basket or scooter’s top case)
5. And off you go!

You can leave the Pick-e-Bike zone (return zone) at any time, but you have to return the bike to the Pick-e-Bike zone. You may also park the bike outside the Pick-e-Bike zone, but you will not be able to end your rental there.
Yes, when you’re riding a bike or scooter, you need to be wearing a helmet at all times. You can also use your own helmet.

No, this is not possible.
You can rent the bike for up to 24 hours at a time. After this time we will start a search request.
The rental is only completed when the vehicle is back in the Pick-e-Bike zone and the rental is ended via the app.
Before you start renting each vehicle, you can see in the app the maximum number of kilometres you can travel.
No, this is not possible.
Under the saddle there is a quick release, which allows you to easily adjust the saddle height
Yes, two people are permitted to ride our e-scooters.
At the end of your rental, you can simply park the bike in the Pick-e-Bike zone. When doing so, please observe the following rules:
1. No obstruction of other road users or pedestrians
2. No parking in front of driveways, in no-stopping areas, parks or pedestrian zones
3. No parking in front of shop windows
4. No parking in backyards or private front gardens
E-scooter:
Unlike the e-bike, you may only park the e-scooter in marked moto-parking areas. The general traffic rules and regulations for scooters apply.
You may park the bike outside the Pick-e-Bike zone, but you will not be able to end your rental there.
If you need to end your rental outside the Pick-e-Bike zone, please contact our customer service on 0848 02 03 04. Your rental can then be ended for a fee.

05 PAYMENT
With your credit card (Mastercard or Visa). The debit takes place at the end of each month.
You can make the switch at any time in your user account via the app.
The charging takes place at the end of each month via the credit card you have deposited.
You can view your rentals and invoices at any time in your profile in the app.
You can activate promo codes in the Pick-e-Bike app under «Wallet» > «Redeem Code».
